Phillip Jack Brooks makes an honest living beating the shit out of people on a nightly basis, and that's word for word how describes it to everybody he encounters. In this world of environmental and economic filth, moral filth is the one eyed man in the land of the blind. Phil preys on that filth, making money off of people's lust for blood in the form of fighting.
Steel Fisted Phil climbed through the "fighter ranks" fast. His nickname of Steel Fist came after a fight with the 400 pound fighter Tsunami, in which he broke his fist punching Tsunami's eye, and continued using that fist for 45 minutes until his opponent succumbed to defeat, via knock out. The fight created a mysticism around Phil and his fist, making him a draw to any fighting show put on in the area. Phil boosted his drawing power by aggravating the fans before his matches, highjacking their minds into putting more money up in order to see him fall. But Phil does not fall.
Brooks does find himself broke on more occasions than he should given the paydays he makes. Not only does he take in the pleasure of women far too often, but he also finds himself drunk on the streets after a good night's fight. Both of these flaws have created a series of unfortunate events for Phillip. He has contracted many STD/Is, has weathered the plague countless times, and has been robbed in his stupor. How he has stayed alive is a miracle unto itself. Why he continues to test the miracle is up to debate.
